We are deeply saddened by the passing of our founder, President Emeritus and dear friend, Stephen Jeffrey Daly. Steve’s profound impact on the world of art and education, as well as his unwavering dedication to supporting sculptors, leaves an indelible mark on all of us.
Steve’s vision and leadership in founding the Texas Sculpture Group created a vital network for artists, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and a shared passion for the transformative power of sculpture. His generosity of spirit, respect for others, and commitment to creativity inspired countless artists and students throughout his remarkable life.
Steve was not only an extraordinary artist but also a kind and compassionate mentor who uplifted those around him. His contributions to the arts—locally, nationally, and internationally—will continue to shape and inspire future generations.
To Steve’s beloved wife, Sharon, his daughter, Sabina, and his grandson, Jay, we extend our deepest condolences. Please know that Steve’s legacy will forever be cherished within the Texas Sculpture Group and the wider artistic community.
May his spirit live on in the sunlit places he loved, the art he created, and the lives he touched.
